Couch Fumigants Cause Dermatitis

Several cases of dermatitis have been reported in China, Finland and the U.K., after sachets of the fumigant, dimethyl fumarate, were left in couches shipped from Chinese firm.

Patients developed painful rashes over the area which had contact with the couch. All patients recovered.

The European Union has since banned the use of dimethyl fumarate as a fumigant.
