Party Pills Containing "Geranium" Recalled

New BZP-free party pills labelled with "geranium extract" have been found to contain a synthetic drug, methylhexaneamine.

Environmental Science and Research (ESR) tested the pills following the ban of BZP in April this year.

Methylhexaneamine (DMAA; 1,3 dimethylamylamine), is a stimulant drug similar to ephedrine. In severe cases, it can cause seizures, heart and kidney toxicity.
